Margot Kaiser/Bender/Gottfried was born in Wiesbaden, Germany, on April 4th, 1922. It was a town founded by the Roman Legions since it had Hot Springs and was close to Vineyards-Wine and the Rhine.

A great benefit in those times. Over the centuries,  it has evolved into a lavish resort town and capital of Hessen.

Her formative years in this Picturesque setting instilled in her a unique blend of beauty and resilience. As she once expressed, "I know the Ancestors that grew grapes for wine along the river and future castles. I visited the ruins often and always felt I knew about their lives, Deja Vu."

Being a Mother with a child in the midst of a horrific War, fear and survival shaped her future thoughts and convictions. However, it never diminished her creative spirit.

Eventually, her life travels brought her to Chicago in 1957. She practiced her vocation as a beautician until retirement, and eventually, Margot reawakened her creative spirits in her 60s.

She joined the Countryside Art Center in Arlington Heights, Illinois. and was embraced by an innovative and compassionate. At this point in her life, her creativity exploded into a myriad of genres-Naïve, primitive painting, collages, and sculptures.

Her art is a reflection of her diverse experiences in life, each piece telling a unique story. As she stated in her later years, she was in her "down to Earth times," the best of all times. Margo left us, not the memories and her creative works, in October 2013.

When you look at her works, you can't help but feel the joy intertwined with her life's trials and tribulations. Her art is a testament to the human spirit's ability to find beauty and joy even in the darkest times.
